First night of decent sleep!

Linda finally got a few consecutive hours of sleep. Ellie only cried twice last night! She had her first doctor's appointment yesterday. All is well. Here's some more pics. And I think you're crazy if you think she looks like her father.

What do y'all think??

Ryan and I think she looks totally like a little Korean tike. My mom says she looks nothing like me and looks only like Ryan. What's the consensus???
We miss everyone and can't wait for you to all meet Ellie. She can't wait either! She loves to be held so... please come visit soon!
Love, Linda

Chapter 7 of the CS Grimmer Chronicles

I know it's out of order, but I don't want to cheat uncle Grimmer. Chris and Ellie (grown up) visited on the 5th, 6th, 7th. We went jet-skiing and I ended up fracturing my knee trying to impress Chris. At least he was impressed.
We also played a little Rock Band. Ellie and Chris picked up those hats at a gas station in North Carolina. And how 'bout that mustache--simply wonderful.

Dad and Ellie

No sleep, complete shock, and a baby burrito.

Caroline and Ellie

Caroline Carter Ward was born about 24 hours after our little Ellie.
Congrats Carter and Melissa!

The Thinker

Welcoming Elizabeth "Ellie" Young Foster

Here's the newest addition to the Foster family. After a 48 hour labor (yes, 2 days, and with only 650mg tylenol mind you) Linda had to have a C-section (failure to progress). On 1/22/08 at 12:06 am, Ellie Foster was born. She weighed in at 7 pounds 14oz, is 20.75inches long, and looks nothing like her father, which is probably a good thing. Mom was up and walking 6 hours after surgery--she must be crazy or immune to pain.

Mom and baby were just discharged today, after 3 sleepless nights at Hotel New Hanover in Wilmington, NC. Ellie's a little jaundiced right now, but nothing we're are overly concerned with.

I'll stop writing now and just post some pics. And check out the picture of our little snaggle-toed Tarheel!
